This tutorial will show how to create a new theme for the platform. To do this, you must access the option Themes Management existing in the Administration submenu.

Once this option is selected, you will find a list with the themes that have been created. Each of these themes have the following options:

  • View it: allows you to view the theme settings.
  • Edit: allows you to edit a theme.
  • Activate: allows you to activate a theme.
  • Deactivate:  allows you to deactivate a theme.
  • Delete: allows you to delete a theme.

Besides, in the upper right, there are two more options::

  • By Default: allows you to return to the default platform theme.
  • New Theme: allows you to create a new theme.

As we have just said, it is this last option that must be selected to create a new theme.

Firstly, once in the creation screen, you must enter a name or identifier for the theme within the Theme box (this field cannot be null and must be unique; if there is a theme with the same name, you will not be allowed to create it). The theme editing options are as follows:

  • Login Image: you can edit the image appearing in the upper left on the login screen. We select one for this tutorial.
  • Header Image: in this section, you can select an image for the platform header. We select one to see how it works.
  • Login background color: this option allows you to modify the background color of the login screen. We choose one for this tutorial.
  • Login title: in this part you can enter a title for the login screen (by default it is Login) considering whether the language is English or Spanish. For this example, we will modify it so that the title is "Welcome", "Bienvenido" in Spanish.
  • Footer text: the footer of the platform can be modified. For this example, we will introduce the following text: "This is a footer text for a Demo." (and its translation to Spanish).

Once the new parameters of this topic have been introduced, the next step will be to save it through the New option located in the lower right. With this, we have managed to create a new theme. To activate it, you must select the Activate option of this theme.

We can see the changes by activating this theme, as seen in the following images:

Similarly, if we access the Login screen, we can see the other changes we have introduced.

This would end this tutorial. If you want to modify a theme, you just click on the Edit option of that theme. If, on the other hand, you want to return to the default theme, you click on the By Default option or on the Deactivate option of the active theme. If you want to activate another theme from the list, you only need to select the Activate option of the theme you want to activate. Finally, if you want to remove a theme from the list, select the Delete option.
