Introduction

This type of Entity will allow you to cross-reference your information with other Entities of different DataType types.

Steps

Create the Entity

From the Control Panel, navigate to the Development > My Entities menu.

Next, all the types of entities that can be created will appear. Select the "Create Presto Entity" option.

  • The form to fill in for the Presto Entity will be loaded. In which we will have to select the Catalog (registered as Presto Connection), Schema and Entity, as well as the usual data for Entity creation (identifier, meta-information, description, etc.).

Fill in general information

This will open the Entity creation wizard, where we will have to enter some basic information:

  • Select a Catalog: in this drop-down menu you will have to choose the Entity store from which you want to create the Presto type Entity. By default, the "realtimedb" catalog will appear. If a user with the "administrator" role has generated other catalogs, they will also appear. Also, this type of user will have the option to create new catalogs through a presto connection (more information).

  • Select a Schema: in the drop-down menu you can choose the corresponding scheme from the selected catalog.

  • Select an Entity: in this third drop-down list the existing Entities in the schema will be listed, where we will have to select the one we are interested in. If the chosen catalog is "realtimedb", we can choose one of the Entities of the Platform.

  • Identification: the unique name with which to identify the Entity.

  • Meta-Information: tags to characterize the Entity, which will be used for filtering when searching.

  • Description: extended descriptive text of the Entity, such as its use, properties, characteristics, etc.

In addition, we have some more options to characterize the Entity:

  • Active: so that the Entity works or is blocked.

  • Public entity: if we want the Entity to be public, or if we want it to be private.

RealtimeDB as a catalog in Presto

In the creation of Presto type Entities, the user has the possibility to create Presto Entities from Entities already created in the Platform in the real time database.

To do this, when accessing the creation of a Presto type Entity, the user must select the "realtimedb" catalog, and the associated schema and the Entities owned by the user will be automatically loaded.
