On Friday, April 14, 2023 Onesait Platform release 5.0.0 (Renegade mnemonic) has been published, following our versioning policy: Version Policy Onesait Platform.

You can follow our Roadmap and find more information about the Platform's capabilities in the Developer Portal.

ENGINE

Optimize the development of business solutions independent of the technology layer with Lowcode strategy.

We apply agile and Lowcode strategies for the development and integration of business solutions, based on standards, independent of specific cloud vendors, and deployable on IaaS, SaaS or On Premise infrastructures:

  • Scalability and stability of any infrastructure

  • Data at the center

  • Integrated end-to-end security

Generation of documentation on platform elements

With this functionality we intend to support the work of documenting a system built on platform. Through the platform Control Panel itself I will be able to generate both in web and pdf format the documentation on all the platform elements.

This entry describes the use of the feature.

Soporte MQTT nativo

In this release we natively support MQTT, i.e. we allow communication through MQTT topics with platform security (until now, the Platform Digital Broker only supported MQTT through our SSAP messaging protocol that masks the base protocol).

Information and example of use in this post.

GIS Map Project Management

This functionality allows a complete management of GIS Map projects.

This management includes:

  • Visual configuration of the maps: including the tools displayed, layers, services and different styles.

  • REST API including the import and export of these projects.

  • A platform web project that displays the map project.

More detail here.

FlowEngine Monitoring

To facilitate the monitoring of resource consumption by each domain (NodeRED instance) of. Flow Engine, we have created a series of platform elements that allow us to analyze the logs of this module and visualize the resource consumption and process execution information in a simple way through a dashboard.

This post explains the complete operation and how to deploy it.

Java 17 as Platform default JVM

In this release, the platform has been migrated and certified to use the latest LTS version of Java 17 as the default JVM for all platform modules.

Other improvements

In addition to the bug resolution, other improvements have been incorporated, such as these:

  • Deletion of data stored in platform: to comply with GDPR platform allowed a user to delete all data stored in platform. An option has been added to delete both the data and all the elements created by the user and finally the user himself:

  • Improvements in the management of dataflows: cloning, commit changes and reset offset options have been added to the 3-point option.

  • Automation of the vertical creation process: so that the platform administrator users themselves can create them in multitenant environments.

  • Optimization of the MyFiles list in the FileRepository: to avoid long loading time when handling many files.

  • Optimization of entity filtering, being able to select Audit and Log Entities or not.

INTELLIGENCE

Maximize the value of your information with our methodology and algorithm.

We virtualize and simplify data access between organizations, departments and systems, achieving a 360º view of business entities and facilitating their exploitation through real-time rules, execution of complex algorithms or traditional analysis:

  • Single multi-repository data model

  • Collaborative environment for Data Scientist

  • Access, management and consumption of APIs

New Notebooks Engine Version

In this version, the Notebooks Engine has been updated to Zeppelin version 0.10.1, which includes new features such as improved integration with Jupyter, native integration with Kubernetes and new ZeppelinAPI to run notebooks remotely programmatically and SessionAPI to run free code against interpreters with platform authentication.

New Functionalities in Open Data Portal

We have added new capabilities to our Open Data Portal allowing to visualize statistics on the datasets, download the dataset catalog in rdf format, and add comments to the datasets.

You can find detail about here.

Entity Statistics

We have incorporated an initial version of the statistics functionality on the platform Entities in the style of the famous pandas description.

New UI for custom gadgets

To improve the user experience when creating custom gadgets, a right drop-down panel has been added to the dashboard editing screen, which displays the gadget's settings:

CENTER

Support tool for system modernization and migration to the Cloud.

Onesait Platform Center (Center) is a tool that provides support in these areas:

  • Guide the phases of a project (startup, development, operation, change management) through a LowCode (*) approach by providing high-level visual tools to all phases.

  • Support the process of application modernization and migration to the Cloud.

  • Standardize the creation of solutions including their architecture and deployment

  • Simplify system operation

Generation of Helm Charts (from a Kubernetes Environment)

This new feature of the Center allows you to generate a Chart Helm with the externalized configuration, from an installation in an environment, so that from an environment we can in a few simple steps, generate the installer that allows us to reproduce our product in another environment.

This post describes the use of the functionality.

DEVOPS & SUPPORT

Our DevOps framework defines the incorporation of the most recent and proven practices to ensure the quality and agility of the platform development process.

Piloto Gestión de Vulnerabilidades

Like any software, Onesait Platform has multiple dependencies on third-party software, from libraries used at development time to operating systems used in containers at deployment time, and it is vital to analyze and update these dependencies as security threats are detected.

Work is being carried out on Onesait Platform's secure development model applied to the resolution of threats detected in third-party software used by Onesait Platform.

During this quarter, a pilot of manual vulnerability management has been carried out, with a view to automating the entire process in the second quarter.

All the information about the process followed at this post.

DEMOS

Here we tell you about the latest demonstrators we have developed on the platform, which have been used to show customers some of the platform capabilities.

If you would like us to show you live some of these demos, do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a meeting with us at contact@onesaitplatform.com

Bank Records Flow Demonstrator

A proof of concept has been developed to generate bank records for different entities from the data obtained by invoking a REST Service. The Dataflow, Flow Engine, virtual entities, APIs and Dashboards of the platform have been used in the demonstrator.

Detais about demo.

COMMUNITY

Open Source technologies to create community and ensure independence

Community Versions

  • Release 4.3.0-ce published on Github: in the coming weeks we will publish version 4.3.0 Community Edition of the Platform in our repository, where you will be able to download and test it:https://github.com/onesaitplatform/onesaitplatform-cloud
