Published Release 4.2.0 (Predator) of Onesait Platform

RELEASE INFO

On October 14, 2022 Release 4.2.0 of the Onesait Platform (Predator mnemonic) will be published, following our versioning policy.: Version Policy Onesait Platform.

You can follow our 2022 Roadmap and find more information about the Platform's capabilities in the new Developer Portal.

ENGINE

Optimize the development of business solutions independent of the technology layer with LowCode strategy.

We apply agile and LowCode strategies for the development and integration of business solutions, based on standards, independent of specific cloud vendors, and deployable on IaaS, SaaS or On Premise infrastructures:

  • Scalability and stability of any infrastructure

  • Data at the center

  • Integrated end-to-end security

New Auditing Module with Queries Metrics

A new auditing module has been created in the Platform that is in charge of receiving all the auditing events from the rest of the modules and processing them asynchronously, freeing the Semantic Broker from this task and therefore increasing its performance.

In addition, this new module incorporates a system of metrics for queries with the objective of having a greater control over the queries that are executed in the system, these metrics are stored in the QueryMetrics Entity.

By storing this information in a system entity, dashboards can be created and decisions can be made based on certain events (errors in queries, very long times,...).

More information in the section Audit & Metrics in the post New Auditing Module with Query Metrics

Evolution of the Application/Project concept

The Platform Application or Project concept allows to create a collaborative Environment in which platform users with different roles can create grouped Platform concepts, allowing to assign also a security domain, a web application,... from a single point.

This menu can be found in DEVELOPMENT > My Applications:

In the My Application UI I can register all the concepts that can be managed via Application. In this way:

FlowEngine engine upgrade to NodeRED 3

In this platform release, the Node-RED-based FlowEngine execution engine has been migrated to version 3.0, specifically to version 3.0.2. This allows to use all the new capabilities and enhancements of the new engine from the FlowEngine.

Read complete information here: Flow Engine engine upgrade to NodeRED 3

License Manager: License Validator

In this release we have implemented the license validation functionality that offers a REST API to validate the license file and to obtain the license information:

MSK integration as a Kafka engine for platform

Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) is Amazon's fully managed Kafka service.

In this release Platform can work with MSK as a Kafka cluster just as it does with other Kafka clusters.

INTELLIGENCE

Maximize the value of your information with our methodology and algorithm.

We virtualize and simplify data access between organizations, departments and systems, achieving a 360º view of business entities and facilitating their exploitation through real-time rules, execution of complex algorithms or traditional analysis:

  • Single multi-repository data model

  • Collaborative environment for Data Scientist

  • Access, management and consumption of APIs

More information at Intelligence Guides

NebulaGraph integration as a graph database

A graph database has been integrated into the release in Plataforma. The selected technology wasNebula Graph, an open source graph database (Apache 2) capable of hosting large graphs, and designed to offer high performance and simplify the use of graphs.

The Platform allows to work with the graphs as with the rest of the platform entities, allowing their representation, apification, loading,... from the platform tools.

In this post Creating an Entity in a Graph Database you can find information on how to use this type of entities from Platform.

New Data Labelling Tool

In this release a data tagging engine has been integrated, which will allow tagging the information stored in the platform, specifically on the basis of the files (stored in the FileRepository or Platform MinIO) or the entities stored in the platform repositories.

For this purpose, the toolLabel Studio, an open-source data tagging tool. It allows you to tag data types such as audio, text, images, videos and time series with a simple user interface and then export to various model formats.

You can find details on how to use this tool at Data Labeling Tool

CENTER

Support tool for system modernization and migration to the Cloud.

Onesait Platform Center (Center) is a tool that provides support in these areas:

  • Guide the phases of a project (startup, development, operation, change management) through a LowCode (*) approach by providing high-level visual tools to all phases.

  • Support the process of application modernization and migration to the Cloud.

  • Standardize the creation of solutions including their architecture and deployment

  • Simplify system operation

Center Release

In this quarter we have published the first release of Center, focused on the use case of modernization of existing systems.

Find out what Center is here: https://onesaitplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/centerDocEn/pages/3659694081

Application Assessment

The objective of the Assessment is to identify all elements of the current system. More info at https://onesaitplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/centerDocEn/pages/3659792385

Application Containerization Diagram

Once the parts of the system have been identified in the Assessment phase, this diagram allows to build the containerized images of the parts, to version them and to publish them in a registry for download in the cloud environment. More info at https://onesaitplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/centerDocEn/pages/3659857921

Chart Helm diagram generation for Kubernetes

The Center proposes the deployment of our applications in Kubernetes and integrates a diagram that allows you to easily create Chart Helm diagrams. More info at https://onesaitplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/centerDocEn/pages/3659857974

Deployment diagram on Kubernetes cluster

Once the diagram is created from the Center it is possible to deploy the Chart Helm generated from a Diagram in the project environments. More info at https://onesaitplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/centerDocEn/pages/3659694179
